It’s time for fall flavors! Pumpkin, squash, sage, pumpkin pie spice. I love it all and am pretty excited to try out some new creations this year. The first in my exploration were these cream biscuits with the addition of pumpkin puree and sage. They were delicious, and both kids agreed. Success! It’s a good thing that pumpkin puree will likely be on sale for the month.
- 1 can pumpkin puree
- 1 1/2 tbsp ground sage
- 2 1/4 cups flour
- 2 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 1/4 cup heavy cream
- Combine flour, sage, baking powder and salt in a small bowl. Set aside.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together cream and pumpkin puree. Add dry ingredients to the medium bowl and combine thoroughly.
- Form into biscuits and bake on a baking sheet at 450 degrees for 12 minutes. Cooking time will vary depending on the size of the biscuits.
